This course introduces site designers to software for the design of water and sewer systems. This hands-on training walks students through, from start to finish, covering creation of water and sewer systems. Students will learn how to analyze the system design, check for system conflicts and create finished profiles of the system. Students will also learn how to compute quantity takeoffs for projects. This class uses imperial units, and is relevant to PowerCivil and GEOPAK.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
  • add water lines, nodes and fire hydrants
  • add a water line profile
  • add a sewer profile and nodes
  • add a sewer line profile
  • modify a sewer segment
  • review conflicts

Course Details:

Course Prerequisites: Some familiarity with drafting in PowerCivil, PowerDraft or MicroStation is necessary. Knowledge of water and/or sewer design is recommended.
